How to fix conflicting IPs in the network?

  1. Identify the conflicting devices and note down their MAC addresses.
  2. If your router is giving out DHCP addresses, release and renew the IP addresses via the router or your DHCP server.
  3. Restart the router/DHCP server by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then reconnecting it. This should release and renew the IP addresses.
  4. Reboot the devices experiencing the conflict to renew their IP addresses.
  5. Assign static IP addresses to the two devices experiencing issues.
  6. Reserve IP addresses on your DHCP server based on the MAC addresses of the devices.
